Lecture Abstract

Eye Movements and Cognitive Processes in Reading

In this talk, I will first provide some background information about eye movements in reading. Then I will focus on issues related to (1) the size of the perceptual span in reading, (2) integration of information across eye movements, and (3) eye movement control in reading. I will also briefly discuss the E-Z Reader model we developed and describe the kinds of results it can account for.
